The Elaborate Process of Becoming.

The Elaborate Process of Becoming.

Psalm 56:8 - You keep track of all my sorrows.[a]
You have collected all my tears in your bottle.
You have recorded each one in your book.
Sometimes we are forced to walk through excruciating seasons.
During these difficult times it may feel as if God doesn’t hear our prayers or see our tears.
Maybe you know that He does hear and see but you start to wonder if He just doesn’t care.
When your heart starts to try to convince you that you’ve somehow slipped off of God’s radar, it’s important to remember that the lens in which we view the world and our surroundings is broken and fallen.
Jeremiah 17:9 says that the heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick; who can understand it?
God’s lens, however, is whole and complete. His understanding is infinite.
There is not a day of our life that God has not seen to completion.
When we struggle to see what the afternoon holds, He knows the words that our tongue will speak at 4:17 pm on a Tuesday, 12 years from now.
Isaiah 55:8 says “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord.”
Elaborate is defined as involving many carefully arranged parts or details; detailed and complicated in design and planning.
We’re all in an elaborate process of becoming. If given the choice, we would likely never pick to endure pain, heartbreak, and long-suffering; yet, these very things produce endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope.
Sometimes the most elaborate expression of God's love for us is when He does not give us what we THINK we want or need.
Keep seeking Him. The pressure you’re experiencing has a point. Lean in.
