Cling to What is True.

Cling to What is True.

2 Timothy 3:12-14
In fact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted, while evildoers and impostors will go from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived. But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it.
When deception and depravity are exposed within your most treasured relationships, you tend to reevaluate your foundational beliefs.
If left unchecked, it’s common for the feelings of being betrayed to open a door of deconstruction that ultimately leads you down a path of self-destruction.
If this is where you are today, I want to share with you what God shared with me this morning:
2 Timothy 3:12-14
In fact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted, while evildoers and impostors will go from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived. But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it.
God highlighted 3 major points through this scripture:
1. As a follower of Jesus, persecution is par for the course.
2. Those who go around deceiving are deceived themselves.
3. Man’s teachings can be skewed and manipulated but the truth and the lessons that Holy Spirit Himself has taught you in the secret place cannot be shaken.
Today is not the day to bow out. Lean in.
